Final Enrollment

Complete Enrollment Requirements

Accepted families must respond within the stated timeframe and provide all required enrollment, residency, health, and academic documentation.

Application submission does not guarantee enrollment. Placement depends on eligibility, available capacity, applicable enrollment priorities, completed documentation, and required response deadlines.

When Is a Lottery Required?

When the number of eligible applications received during the open enrollment period exceeds the number of available seats in a particular campus, program, class, or grade level, RCSA may conduct a publicly noticed lottery.

The lottery is used to determine placement fairly among eligible applicants. Students who are not offered an available seat may be placed on the appropriate waiting list according to the applicable enrollment procedures.

Submitting an application does not guarantee admission or participation in a lottery. Applications must be completed and submitted within the published application period to be considered with the on-time applicant group.

Applicants who are not offered a seat because a campus or grade level has reached capacity may be placed on a waiting list.

Applications received after the open enrollment window are placed at the bottom of the waiting list for the applicable program, class, or grade level in the order they are received. Seat availability may change throughout the year as currently enrolled students withdraw or additional space becomes available.

When a seat becomes available, the school may contact the next eligible applicant on the waiting list. Families should keep their telephone number, email address, and other contact information current.

Waiting lists do not automatically carry over into a new school year. A new application must be submitted during the appropriate enrollment period for each school year.

RCSA may apply enrollment preferences or priorities permitted by applicable charter school policies and Florida law.

These priorities may include eligible siblings of currently enrolled students and other qualifying applicant groups identified in the school’s approved enrollment procedures. Any priority status must be accurately disclosed in the application and may require supporting documentation.

A priority does not automatically guarantee placement. Admission still depends on eligibility, available capacity, timely application submission, and completion of all required enrollment steps.

Applications should be completed accurately and submitted within the published open enrollment period.

Applications received after the deadline may be added to the bottom of the applicable waiting list in the order they are received. An incomplete application may delay review or prevent the applicant from being included in the appropriate admission, lottery, or placement process.

Families are responsible for reviewing the application before submission and providing any additional information requested by the school. Applications from a previous school year do not remain active, roll over, or automatically transfer to the following year. A new application must be submitted for the new enrollment period.

Families selected for an available seat will receive written notification and instructions from the school.

RCSA states that parents will be notified of acceptance no later than three weeks after the acceptance-period deadline. The notification will provide a specific timeframe for the family to respond in writing and confirm whether the student will attend.

If a family declines the offer or does not respond by the stated deadline, the available seat may be offered to the next eligible applicant on the waiting list. Accepted families must also submit the required enrollment documentation and complete any remaining registration steps within the deadlines provided by the campus.
